主要研究中原造物史与造物思想。利用中原地区丰富的历史文化遗产资源，融合设计学、考古学和民俗学等多学科研究方法，对传统造物文化在现代设计中的传承与演化展开多维度研究。
It mainly studies the creation history and thought by using the rich historical and cultural heritage resources in the central areas of China. By integrating the multidisciplinary research methods of design, archaeology and folklore, the discipline conducts a multi-dimensional study on the inheritance and evolution of traditional creation culture in modern design.
工业设计
Industrial Design
主要研究产品设计集成创新理论与方法。以学科融通整合为途径，综合运用人工智能、大数据、物联网等技术要素，以原创性设计推进制造业转型升级和传统手工业创新性转化。
It mainly studies the theory and method of product design integrated innovation. Taking the integration of disciplines as the basis, collectively using the technical elements of AI, big data, and the Internet, the transformation of traditional handicraft industry and upgrade of the manufacturing industry is promoting by using original design.
视觉与媒体设计
Visual and Media Design
主要研究视觉设计新媒介及信息传播新形态，通过虚拟现实、高清图像处理等数字技术与设计艺术的深度融合，进行传统设计语言与样态的拓展与重构，及新传播载体与用户体验关系的重建。
It is mainly about the new media of visual design and new forms of information dissemination. Through the deep integration with digital technology such as virtual reality and high-definition image processing, the discipline expands and reconstructs the traditional design language and pattern, and reestablished the relationship between new communication carrier and user experience.
环境与景观设计
Environment and Landscape Design
主要研究室内、景观、建筑等场景中的环境设计理论与方法，以国家、地域、学界的建设急需为导向，通过虚拟现实、数据分析等前沿技术与生态修复、文化景观保护等专题的结合，推动研究理论创新向具体实践成果的转化。
It mainly studies the theories and methods of interior design, landscape, architect, etc. Oriented by the urgent need of national, regional and academic construction, the discipline combines the frontier technologies such as virtual reality and data analysis with ecological restoration, cultural landscape protection and other topics, to promote the transformation of theoretical innovation into practical achievements.
服装设计
Fashion Design
主要研究服装造型、功能与文化的融合创新。通过学科融合，从设计理念与创新实践两个方面对服装材料与科技、功能性服装研发、中西服饰文化比较等方面进行纵深与拓展研究，推动服装行业的转型与升级。
It mainly studies the integration and innovation of fashion styling, function and culture. Through the integration of disciplines, in-depth and expanded research is conducted from the perspective of design concept and innovation practice on clothing materials and technology, functional clothing, and the comparison of Chinese and Western clothing culture,etc to promote the transformation and upgrading of the clothing industry.
